Job Description

Boeing is seeking a skilled Propulsion Engine Integration Specialist to join our team in North Charleston, South Carolina. As a key member of our Propulsion Team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to the integration of propulsion engines, including locating parts and assemblies, installation of nacelle and engine components, electrical testing of systems, and more.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assembly Operations: Perform routine production assembly operations on structural parts, mechanical assemblies, sub-assemblies, and equipment and accessories using manual or automated assembly tools.
  • Team Collaboration: Model a culture of One Team, Pride, and Ownership, and partner with Integrated Build Teams (IBTs) and Team Leaders to mitigate performance risk using Systematic Problem Solving (SPS) methodologies.
  • Problem Solving: Identify roadblocks and production constraints, escalating issues that cannot be resolved by the team using open and clear communication.
  • Process Improvement: Use KPI and BPS principles to improve production flow and work environment.
  • Overtime and Flexibility: Support overtime as required to meet customer commitments and be flexible with work schedules.
  • Lean Manufacturing: Participate in Lean Manufacturing Systems (LMS) and 5S activities to improve overall team performance.
  • Training and Development: Support teammates to improve overall team performance by providing cross-training and mentoring.
Requirements:
  • Experience: 1+ years of experience in Aerospace, Fabrication, or Manufacturing.
  • Skills: Ability to work a variable shift (1st, 2nd, or 3rd), utilize and follow detailed work instructions, read and interpret blueprints, drawings, or specifications in English.
  • Certifications: Must be able to complete and maintain Confined Space and Fall Protection Certifications.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Physical Demands: Carrying/Lifting up to 10-35 pounds, ability to work with High Hazard Chemicals, and perform tasks that require flexion/extension, handling, kneeling, bending at the waist, reaching (overhead), rotation of head/neck, standing, twisting at the waist, and walking.
  • Tools and Equipment: Use of high-impact vibratory tools (bucking/riveting).
Education and Experience:

Typical education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g. High School diploma/GED) and typically 1 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. vocational school/Associate).
