Job Description

Boeing is seeking a skilled Propulsion Engine Integration Specialist to join our team in North Charleston, South Carolina. As a key member of our Propulsion Team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to the integration of propulsion engines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assembly and Installation: Perform routine production assembly operations on structural parts, mechanical assemblies, sub-assemblies, and equipment and accessories using manual or automated assembly tools.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that all work is performed to the highest standards of quality and safety.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Partner with Integrated Build Teams (IBTs) and Team Leaders to mitigate performance risk using Systematic Problem Solving (SPS) methodologies.
  • Process Improvement: Identify roadblocks and production constraints and escalate issues that cannot be resolved by the team using open and clear communication.
  • Training and Development: Participate in Lean Manufacturing Systems (LMS) and 5S activities, and support teammates to improve overall team performance by providing cross-training and mentoring.
Requirements:
  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: 1+ years of experience in Aerospace, Fabrication, or Manufacturing.
  • Skills: Ability to work a variable shift (1st, 2nd, or 3rd), and 1+ years' experience utilizing and following detailed work instructions, reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, or specifications, in English.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Confined Space and Fall Protection Certifications: Must be able to complete and maintain Confined Space and Fall Protection Certifications.
  • Safety and Compliance: Ability to adhere to high standards of Safety and Compliance to regulation.
  • Physical Demands: Carrying/Lifting up to 10-35 pounds, and ability to work with High Hazard Chemicals.
Working Conditions:

This position is for a variable shift. Variable shift means you will be placed on a shift at the time of hire based on business needs at that time. You will remain on that shift until re-evaluation of the need.
