Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Associate Propulsion Assembler - Level B to join our team at Boeing. As a key member of our Propulsion South Carolina team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to propulsion assembly, including locating parts and assemblies, gap verification and shimming, manual and automated drilling, sealant application, and installation of fasteners, rivets, and blind bolts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine production assembly operations on structural parts, mechanical assemblies, sub-assemblies, and equipment and accessories using manual or automated assembly tools.
  • Model a culture of teamwork, pride, and ownership.
  • Partner with Integrated Build Teams (IBTs) and Team Leaders to mitigate performance risk using Systematic Problem Solving (SPS) methodologies.
  • Identify roadblocks and production constraints and escalate issues that cannot be resolved by the team using open and clear communication.
  • Use Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Business Process Solutions (BPS) principles to improve production flow and work environment.
  • Support overtime as required to meet customer commitments.
  • Participate in Lean Manufacturing Systems (LMS) and 5S activities.
  • Support teammates to improve overall team performance by providing cross-training and mentoring.
Requirements
  • Ability to work a variable shift (1st, 2nd, or 3rd).
  • 1+ year of experience in aerospace, manufacturing, and/or fabrication.
  • 1+ years of experience utilizing and following detailed work instructions, reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, or specifications, in English.
  • 1+ year of experience using software applications for internet navigation, email, Microsoft Suite, and/or other specialized computer applications.
Education and Experience

Education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g. High School diploma/GED) and typically 1 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. vocational school/Associate).
