As a Starbucks Team Leader, you will exemplify the operational standards of our establishment. Your role will involve leading shifts while collaborating with a dedicated team of baristas to ensure exceptional customer service and high-quality beverage preparation. You will thrive in a dynamic store atmosphere where you can positively influence and mentor others, fostering a supportive team culture and enhancing your leadership capabilities. Core Responsibilities:
• Serve as a model for our customer service values.
• Uphold our service commitment by engaging warmly with guests, remembering their preferences, and expressing gratitude in every interaction.
• Proactively recognize and appreciate our guests, ensuring they feel valued and included.
• Utilize operational tools and training to enhance coffee and product knowledge, assisting guests in discovering their favorites.
• Stay informed about promotions and events to connect guests with relevant offerings.
• Process customer orders accurately while adhering to cash handling protocols.
• Maintain composure during peak periods or unexpected situations.
• Contribute to a positive team atmosphere.
• Adhere to operational policies and procedures, including cash management and safety protocols.
• Keep the workspace clean and organized.
• Deliver consistent quality in beverages and food items by following recipe and presentation standards.
• Comply with health, safety, and sanitation regulations for all products and equipment.
• Ensure regular and punctual attendance.
• Assist in training new team members by providing constructive feedback to the store manager regarding team performance during shifts.
• Foster a positive learning environment through clear, respectful coaching and feedback to team members to enhance operational excellence and team performance.
• Build strong relationships with team members by understanding and addressing their individual motivations and concerns.
• Manage store operations during scheduled shifts.
• Organize opening and closing tasks as assigned.
• Ensure adherence to cash management policies and practices by the shift team.
• Monitor baristas throughout the shift to guarantee outstanding customer service for all guests.
• Recognize and celebrate individual and team achievements using available organizational tools and collaborating with the store manager to develop innovative recognition methods.
• Employ operational tools to attain excellence during shifts.
Qualifications and Skills:
• Minimum of one year of customer service experience in a hospitality or restaurant setting.
- At least six months of experience in a role requiring constant interaction with customers.
- At least six months of experience in delegating tasks or coordinating the efforts of multiple employees.
• Availability for flexible scheduling, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Compliance with store operating policies and standards.
• Ability to prepare and coach the preparation of food and beverages according to standard recipes or customized requests.
• Capability to lead and direct the work of others.
• Quick learning ability.
• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with the restaurant and hospitality industry.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Team-oriented mindset.
• Proficiency in building relationships.
