Patient Service Representative

At Palomar Health Medical Group, we are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Patient Service Representative to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in customer service, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and provide exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities:- Greet and check in patients, ensuring a positive and professional experience.
- Answer phones and respond to patient inquiries in a timely and courteous manner.
- Document patient information accurately and efficiently.
- Schedule appointments and ensure smooth patient flow.
- Collect patient insurance co-payments and explain billing procedures.
- Prepare and file patient forms, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA guidelines.
- Balance daily monies and ensure accuracy of batch summaries.
- Make recommendations to improve processes and procedures to enhance patient satisfaction and quality.
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum one year of experience in a customer service position, preferably in a medical practice setting.
- Working knowledge of contracted insurances, patient benefits, and third-party requirements preferred.
