Store Manager

As a General Manager at RaceTrac, you will be responsible for driving profitability and leading a team of up to 45 employees. Your primary goal will be to deliver on the company's mission of making people's lives simpler and more enjoyable through a focus on friendly service, food execution, cleanliness, building talent, and driving success.
Key Responsibilities:- Friendly Service: Establish an environment of prompt, efficient, and courteous service, and effectively engage in conflict management.
- Leadership: Lead and direct positive and professional relationships with co-workers, direct reports, guests, and vendors.
- Communication: Communicate respectfully and maintain a consistent team-oriented attitude and store culture.
- Guest Concerns: Manage and mitigate any reported guest concerns on designated shifts with a sense of urgency and involve appropriate regional team members as needed.
- Food Service: Drive excellence in food service by executing designed processes, implementing goals to increase sales and margin, ensuring product quality, and using training resources.
- Cleanliness: Encourage and manage a high standard of store cleanliness, and direct, monitor, and adhere to all RaceTrac, federal, state, and local safety-related regulations, including food safety regulations.
- Building Talent: Demonstrate RaceTrac's Core Values of Honesty, Efficiency, Positive Attitude, Respect, and Teamwork, and display RaceTrac's Leadership Qualities through acting with a servant-leader mentality, prioritizing tasks appropriately, going the extra mile for guests and your team, listening, and communicating respectfully, and solving problems with a proactive, solutions-oriented approach.
- Driving Success: Strategically direct control of inventory and the distribution of materials, merchandise, and supplies, review financial statements, sales, analysis reports, and other performance data to measure productivity, actively identify areas of operational improvements based on market trends, and develop and maintain a relationship with vendors to ensure efficient and correct deliveries.
- High School Diploma or GED in progress or completed.
- 5+ years of prior food service, retail, or restaurant supervisory experience; retail management experience highly preferred.
- Previous experience working in high-volume, guest-focused, transactional environment preferred.
- Knowledge and skills in analyzing overall financial performance of the store including profit and loss statements.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Proven knowledge of Labor Laws and staffing best practices.
- Can lift up to 50 pounds and repeatedly bend, stand, and reach while on the job.
- Must obtain and maintain Manager Food Handler certification.
- May be required to obtain and maintain alcohol server permit, based on local or state requirements.
