We are in search of a dedicated Assistant Controller to enhance our financial operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the COO/CFO in overseeing all financial activities, including Billing, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Payroll.
- Contribute to the development of the annual budget and financial projections.
- Manage cash flow planning and oversee cash, investments, and asset management strategies.
- Prepare and review year-end documentation for external auditors related to financial statements and tax return preparation.
- Ensure the implementation of robust internal controls and compliance with financial procedures, including the documentation of business processes.
- Oversee financial software systems to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Manage the Accounts Receivable process, including collections.
- Support the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely preparation and review of financial reports.
- Conduct research on technical accounting and tax compliance issues as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Comprehensive understanding of accounting and tax regulations.
- Proficient in Excel and financial modeling.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with a proven ability to convey complex information clearly.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of combined experience in accounting, finance, and taxation.
- CPA certification is mandatory.
- Experience in:
- Preparation of financial statements for various legal entities.
- General ledger operations and closing processes.
- Preparation and review of tax filings for partnerships and payroll.
- Administration of diverse accounting software.
- Experience in professional service firms is advantageous.
