Position Overview

We are in search of a dedicated Assistant Controller to enhance our financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the COO/CFO in overseeing all financial activities, including Billing, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Payroll.
  • Contribute to the development of the annual budget and financial projections.
  • Manage cash flow planning and oversee cash, investments, and asset management strategies.
  • Prepare and review year-end documentation for external auditors related to financial statements and tax return preparation.
  • Ensure the implementation of robust internal controls and compliance with financial procedures, including the documentation of business processes.
  • Oversee financial software systems to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Manage the Accounts Receivable process, including collections.
  • Support the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely preparation and review of financial reports.
  • Conduct research on technical accounting and tax compliance issues as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Comprehensive understanding of accounting and tax regulations.
  • Proficient in Excel and financial modeling.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with a proven ability to convey complex information clearly.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of combined experience in accounting, finance, and taxation.
  • CPA certification is mandatory.
  • Experience in:
    • Preparation of financial statements for various legal entities.
    • General ledger operations and closing processes.
    • Preparation and review of tax filings for partnerships and payroll.
    • Administration of diverse accounting software.
    • Experience in professional service firms is advantageous.
