About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Life Insurance Agent to join our team at New York Life in Washington DC - Virginia. As a Life Insurance Agent, you will have the opportunity to grow your practice with unlimited potential and make a meaningful impact on the lives of our clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Grow your practice by providing solutions to clients' needs, including protection and income solutions.
  • Understand the needs and financial concerns of clients and educate them on how to plan for their financial future.
  • Promote customized ways for clients to achieve and protect their long-term financial goals.
  • Cultivate relationships with clients and network to expand your referral base.
  • Build an insurance and financial practice through establishing professional networks and prospecting for new clients.
  • Have a clear focus on client needs through a discovery, fact-finding process resulting in trust and continuity of community over time.

Qualifications:

  • Sales experience preferred, with an enterprising mindset and a strong desire to help families and businesses.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong business acumen and a professional business demeanor.
  • Perseverance in the face of a challenge and the ability to engage your community and leverage personal networks/contacts.
  • Integrity is a must.
  • A college degree is preferred but not required.

Compensation: $100,000 at plan commission.
