About the Role

Hargrove Engineers + Constructors is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead the engineering management of discipline design engineering for our capital projects. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with our Director, Capital Projects, and collaborate with process technology, engineering, reliability, and procurement teams to develop and implement discipline design engineering strategies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the quality assurance of engineering deliverables for all capital projects.
  • Collaborate with capital portfolio managers to understand design engineering requirements and develop annual and long-term plans for engineering resourcing strategies.
  • Lead cross-discipline teams on major projects, ensuring effective and efficient design delivery.
  • Define engineering deliverables and set strategies for engineering delivery, aligning with project management processes.
  • Drive the adoption of industry best practices and engineering standards across the organization.
  • Review projects for engineering deliverables quality and completeness prior to gate reviews.
  • Ensure safe design of projects, adhering to Goal Zero EHSS performance standards.
  • Qualify engineering services and materials providers according to company requirements.
  • Optimize engineering standards to minimize project costs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in engineering and project management, with a focus on capital projects.
  • Strong knowledge of capital project engineering requirements across all disciplines.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and handle multiple project engineering requirements.
  • Excellent team-building and conflict resolution skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of construction/maintenance methods, best practices, and technical understanding of specifications, codes, and standard quality control inspections.
