This role is pivotal in leading a highly skilled team engaged in technical services, including modeling, simulation, technical analysis, and agile software development.
As a Branch Manager, you will be immersed in a vibrant work environment that leverages cutting-edge simulation technologies and collaborates with software engineering specialists, analysts, and military Subject Matter Experts (SMEs). The focus of this position is on the research, development, integration, enhancement, and application of advanced modeling and simulation capabilities for both constructive and virtual simulation applications, with aspirations for team expansion into new domains.
Key Responsibilities:
Your leadership will encompass managing a team of over 10 employees, which includes:
- Personnel Management: Overseeing recruitment, hiring, and retention efforts, while ensuring effective staff assignments and addressing any arising issues. Mentoring and fostering a collaborative work environment will be essential.
- Business Development: Actively participating in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, including responding to customer inquiries and proposals.
- Contract Management: Contributing to and monitoring the technical, schedule, and cost performance of contracts to guarantee customer satisfaction and adherence to contract stipulations.
- Office Administration: Supervising office administration personnel and managing the security program for the office.
Essential Qualifications:
Due to the sensitive nature of the work, U.S. Citizenship is mandatory. Candidates should possess:
- A minimum of a High School diploma with 14 years of experience in a technical field, or a bachelor’s degree with at least 6 years of relevant technical experience.
- Active SECRET clearance on the first day of employment.
- Experience with the U.S. Government or DoD Intelligence Community is highly valued.
- Proficiency in business development, including capture strategies, proposal writing, and cost estimation.
- Strong familiarity with standard office tools and corporate information systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
Desirable attributes include:
- Experience in managing software development or research teams.
- Background in geospatial sciences.
- Knowledge of DoD Research, Development, Test, and Evaluation (RDT&E) markets.
- Expertise in software development (C/C++, Java), modeling and simulation, and operations analysis.
- An advanced degree (MS or PhD) is preferred.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- TOP SECRET clearance is a plus.
