Job Title: School Nurse (RN/LPN)

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated School Nurse (RN/LPN) to join our team at Chamblee Middle School. As a School Nurse, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of our students.

Job Summary:

The School Nurse will provide direct care to students, including administering medications, giving intramuscular injections, and performing respiratory assessments. You will also monitor and assess student health on a regular basis, maintain accurate health records, and conduct regular health screenings such as vision and hearing tests.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct care to students, including administering medications and performing respiratory assessments.
  • Monitor and assess student health on a regular basis.
  • Maintain accurate health records.
  • Conduct regular health screenings such as vision and hearing tests.
  • Attend 504 Plan meetings and Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings to support students with special healthcare needs.
  • Collaborate with parents, teachers, administrators, and healthcare providers to promote student health and create a safe school environment.
Requirements:
  • Grade 117 - Licensed Practical Nursing or equivalent education/training required.
  • Grade 122 - Registered Nurse or equivalent education/training or is required.
  • Minimum one (1) year registered nurse, practical nursing or closely related experience is required. Experience in pediatric nursing is preferred.
