Job Title: School Nurse

Cary Reynolds Elementary School is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated School Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pediatric nursing and be able to provide exceptional care to our students.

Job Summary

The School Nurse will be responsible for providing direct care to students, including administering medications, giving intramuscular injections, and performing respiratory assessments. They will also be responsible for monitoring and assessing student health on a regular basis, maintaining accurate health records, and conducting regular health screenings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct care to students, including administering medications and performing respiratory assessments
  • Monitor and assess student health on a regular basis
  • Maintain accurate health records
  • Conduct regular health screenings, including vision and hearing tests
  • Attend 504 Plan meetings and Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings to support students with special healthcare needs
  • Collaborate with parents, teachers, administrators, and healthcare providers to promote student health and create a safe school environment
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of one year of registered nurse, practical nursing, or closely related experience. Experience in pediatric nursing is preferred. The candidate must be licensed to practice as a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse in the state of Georgia.
