Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Field/Office Engineer to join our team at Kiewit Corporation. As a Field/Office Engineer, you will be responsible for assisting in the planning and management of power delivery projects in the Midwest region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the interpretation of drawings and specifications for field crews and craft supervision
  • Manage the Document Control procedure in the field
  • Perform quantity calculations by taking measurements and determining the percentage of completed/installed materials and work
  • Prepare work plans and work packages
  • Assist in field surveying and work layout support including elevation, control points, and compilation of as-built data
  • Ensure quality inspections are being done and sign-off documentation is collected/assist in managing the quality plan
  • Compile, process, and confirm daily labor timesheets and calculate daily costs
  • Prepare Job Hazard Analysis (JHA's)
  • Participate in job site safety reviews, toolbox meetings, mass safety meetings, and safety training
  • Order and schedule material deliveries
  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate work groups on the job site
  • Supervise field operations
  • Manage subcontractors

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in construction management, construction engineering, civil engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or equivalent education
  • Minimum overall GPA of 2.7
  • Ability to travel and relocate as required
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
  • Working knowledge of computers and experience with Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Good attention to detail, with the ability to recognize discrepancies
  • Strong work ethic - Willing to do what it takes to get the job done
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Ability to freely access all points of a construction site in wide-ranging climates and environments
  • Ability to work in the United States without sponsorship, both now and in the future
