Patient Access Coordinator

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Patient Access Coordinator to join our team at Driscoll Children's Hospital. As a key member of our Patient Access Service, you will be responsible for ensuring seamless patient access to our medical services.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including demographic and financial information.
- Verify patient insurance benefits and obtain necessary authorizations for services.
- Coordinate patient scheduling and registration, ensuring timely and efficient access to medical services.
- Manage patient financial discharge, including collection of out-of-pocket expenses and preparation of hospital receipts.
- Provide exceptional customer service, responding to patient inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; one to three months of related experience and/or training preferred.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to write simple correspondence and effectively present information to customers, clients, and other employees.
This position is located in a fast-paced healthcare environment, requiring strong organizational and communication skills. The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively in a team-oriented setting, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities with ease.
