Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Activity Aide Coordinator to join our team at Universal Health Services. As a key member of our behavioral health team, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and directing medically approved activity programs for patients in our behavioral health setting.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement activity programs that promote socialization, confidence, and interpersonal relationships among patients.
  • Regulate the content of programs to meet patients' capabilities, needs, and interests.
  • Instruct patients in relaxation techniques, such as deep breathing and concentration, to reduce stress and tension.
  • Lead calisthenics, stretching, and limbering exercises, as well as individual and group sports, to promote physical activity and well-being.
  • Counsel and encourage patients to develop leisure activities and interests.
  • Prepare progress charts and reports for medical staff and other treatment team members, reflecting patients' reactions and progress.
  • May supervise and train other staff members in activity therapy techniques.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or higher education required.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality patient care and services.
