Position Responsibilities:
Key Duties:
- Oversee the bindery, digital finishing, and die cutting teams.
- Evaluate productivity, workflow, and performance metrics.
- Facilitate recruitment, training, and performance assessments.
- Champion continuous improvement practices (5S, LEAN).
- Model leadership during shift transitions.
- Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures and safety protocols.
- Monitor departmental spending and labor costs.
- Act as a cultural ambassador through effective leadership and engagement.
- Collaborate with various departments to address production challenges.
- Supervise and request maintenance for equipment.
- Delegate tasks and ensure fulfillment of customer commitments.
- Assess and enhance employee performance.
- Conduct quality checks and provide technical assistance.
Required Skills:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar or related role.
- Proficient in basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division of whole numbers and fractions.
Preferred Attributes:
- Exhibit a positive attitude towards safety.
Employment Type:
This is a permanent position.
Work Environment:
Physical ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs. Capability to visually inspect work for defects and differentiate colors. Frequent actions include reaching, bending, climbing, kneeling, crouching, and stooping. Manual dexterity is required for repetitive tasks. Regular walking and standing are necessary.
