Job Title: Director of Engineering - AdTech

Electronic Arts is seeking a highly experienced Director of Engineering to lead our AdTech platform team. As a key member of our Digital Platform group, you will be responsible for driving the technical direction and architecture of our AdTech platform, ensuring it meets the needs of our business and delivers high-quality experiences for our players.

The AdTech team is responsible for building industry-leading solutions that empower end-to-end Ads lifecycle management workflows and performant, scalable, and available services. As a Director of Engineering, you will oversee and drive the EA AdTech platform components, including funnel analysis, vendor solutions, and network.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development of key components of Ads lifecycle, such as ads network connection, ads marketplace, data exchange, funnel analysis, measurement, and reporting.
  • Work with cross-functional teams, including Content Management & Delivery, Messaging, Segmentation, Recommendation, and Experimentation, to streamline the Ads workflow.
  • Evaluate where and how EA's live service solutions, studio tech stacks, and vendor solutions can work together to achieve both engineering and business goals in an efficient and cost-effective manner.
  • Collaborate with Game Studios, Experience, and Brand organizations to understand their use cases and drive end-to-end solutions to meet their requirements.
  • Work with Legal and Privacy teams to ensure compliance directives are strictly followed.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field or relevant experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in software engineering, with 5+ years of experience in managing engineering teams.
  • Experience with managing a team of 10+ engineers.
  • Domain knowledge of the Ads industry, including the Ads lifecycle, such as creative management, inventory management, marketplace, bidding & optimization, data workflow, measurement.
  • Experience in vendor solutions (DSP, SSP, DMP), knowledge of industry-leading solutions and tradeoffs among them.
  • Competencies in algorithms, data structures, and software design.
  • Experience building distributed systems to serve concurrent requests on a massive scale.
  • Experience working with multi-cloud architectures to manage data pipelines across vendors.
  • Experience working with online & offline databases, including columnar databases, relational databases or document databases.
  • Experience working with Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, Storm, Flink, Presto, or other data streaming and processing systems.
  • Experience leading projects to deliver impactful customer experiences, including close collaboration with product managers, and directly working with end-users.

Electronic Arts offers a competitive salary and benefits package, including paid time off, 80 hours per year of sick time, 16 paid company holidays per year, 10 weeks paid time off to bond with baby, medical/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, and 401(k) to regular full-time employees.
