Job Summary

Mentor South Bay, a leading provider of behavioral health and mental health services, is seeking an Early Intervention Assistant to join our team. As an Early Intervention Assistant, you will play a critical role in supporting youth receiving early intervention services, assisting with daily and social skills, and collaborating with treatment teams to provide effective behavior management techniques.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain therapeutic relationships with individuals and families, adhering to early intervention standards and treatment plan goals.
  • Collaborate with treatment teams to provide behavior management techniques, ensuring a safe and socially acceptable environment.
  • Document all interactions and activities in a timely and accurate manner, maintaining records of youth served.
  • Assist with group interventions, planning curricula, and preparing for group activities, as well as co-leading groups for youth and parents.
  • Coordinate and provide transportation for assigned children and/or parents, adhering to transportation standards.
  • Participate in training and implementation of program updates to ensure early intervention standards are met.
  • Perform other related duties and activities as required.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • Two years of relevant work experience in a related field
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
  • CPR/First Aid certification
