To support our ongoing growth, we are seeking a driven and proactive Sales Consultant for Precast Solutions to join our dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify and monitor upcoming projects that align with company objectives.
  • Track and manage leads generated through professional contacts.
  • Facilitate the introduction of new projects to the estimating and engineering teams, aiding in preliminary project layouts.
  • Collaborate with the Estimating team to develop project budgets and promote products effectively.
  • Prepare detailed reports and logs to track bidding projects.
  • Submit necessary reports to the Vice President of Sales and Regional Sales Manager.
  • Engage with clients to ensure processes are executed thoroughly and as intended.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive sales materials and up-to-date product knowledge.
  • Assist in the preparation of estimates and proposals, including drawings and preliminary engineering based on product specifications and availability.
  • Maintain strong relationships with owners, general contractors, architects, and engineers throughout project phases.
  • Participate in external meetings and events to expand the contact network and enhance customer relations.
  • Perform additional tasks as required for each project.
  • Work closely with Marketing and Business Development teams to optimize resource use, prioritizing client needs.
  • Conduct regular face-to-face meetings with assigned clients.
  • Develop solutions and submit Requests for Information (RFIs) to relevant parties.
  • Manage the introduction and delivery of product samples and mockups to clients.
  • Assist internal departments with the flow of information regarding ongoing projects.
  • Build and nurture relationships with key clients to create sustainable revenue streams through a consultative approach to precast building systems.
  • Engage with architects, contractors, and engineers to ensure early involvement in the design phase, providing a competitive edge.
  • Identify market opportunities to estimate and bid on projects, aiming for a personal sales target of $10 million in annual revenue.
  • Collaborate with the Estimating team to prepare estimates for precast projects, coordinating with various departments for scheduling and production considerations.
  • Review contracts, develop product design concepts, and oversee shop drawings to meet client needs while ensuring profitability for Wells.
  • Lead marketing efforts for precast products at trade shows and in presentations to industry professionals.
  • Maintain a project pursuit database to effectively communicate ongoing work and avoid duplication of efforts.
  • Utilize relevant tools to manage client information, ensuring accessibility for team members and leadership.
  • Support the maintenance of Wells' brand through effective use of marketing materials and messaging throughout the sales process.
  • Act as a liaison between clients and Wells, ensuring project needs are met and client satisfaction is achieved.
  • Coordinate key project information with marketing for case studies to enhance higher-level involvement.
  • Facilitate introductions between key client contacts and marketing for the client review process.
  • Complete special projects as assigned and perform other duties as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Management or Construction Management preferred.
  • Alternatively, 3 to 5 years of experience in precast sales may substitute for a degree.
  • Proficiency in complex building types, including total precast buildings, multi-level structures, parking ramps, or food-grade facilities.
  • Ability to follow directions and respond effectively to customer inquiries.
  • Strong relationship management skills with current customers for future projects and public visibility in the industry.
  • Capability to persuade and influence others in product sales.
  • Experience in developing and delivering presentations.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with others to ensure project completion.
  • Self-motivated and driven to achieve objectives.
  • Understanding of customer responses to projects and bids to maintain strong relationships.
  • Knowledge of the precast building process from inception to completion for accurate bid development.
  • Strong organizational skills to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Active involvement in industry associations, such as participation on boards or committees.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
  • Excellent listening skills to engage in meetings and understand customer needs.
