Job Overview
This role involves providing proficient Mechanical Engineering support to various projects within Cobec Consulting.

Experience Requirements
The ideal candidate should possess over 7 years of relevant experience in mechanical engineering, with a preference for those who have worked in technical operations.

Key Responsibilities

The following tasks are typical for this role:
1. Develop necessary plans, drawings, and specifications utilizing computer-aided design (CAD) software.
2. Prepare cost estimates and conduct design analysis.
3. Deliver expert mechanical design solutions, documentation, design reviews, site assessments, and general support for mechanical features across various projects.
4. Assess design objectives and perform intricate technical calculations.
5. Oversee project milestones from initiation through to construction, ensuring adherence to projected timelines.
6. Conduct economic analyses to evaluate the feasibility of renovations versus new construction.
7. Plan and supervise engineering projects to ensure compliance with applicable standards and requirements.
8. Evaluate existing mechanical systems and recommend improvements.
9. Review mechanical aspects of contractor drawings and equipment submissions for compliance with contract specifications.
10. Inspect construction projects for quality assurance and compliance with relevant codes.
11. Negotiate modifications to contracts as necessary.
12. Review construction contracts to ensure adherence to legal and regulatory standards.

Education Requirements
A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is required. A Master's degree is advantageous and may count as additional experience.

Skills Requirements
Candidates must thrive in a dynamic work environment and be adaptable to multiple projects. Key skills include:
- Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the capacity to collaborate effectively.
- Proficient oral and written communication skills.
- Experience with 3D CAD modeling, particularly SolidWorks, and familiarity with Product Data Management (PDM).
- Basic understanding of electro-mechanical assemblies.
- Minimum of 4-6 years of relevant mechanical-site design experience.
- Strong analytical and technical writing capabilities.
- Ability to receive assignments in the form of objectives and establish goals to achieve them.
- Judicious selection of methods and techniques for obtaining results.
- Capability to interact with senior personnel on significant technical matters.
- Conduct site inspections to monitor progress and ensure compliance with engineering specifications.

Security Requirements
Must be a US citizen or a legal resident for three of the past five years and meet eligibility criteria for a US Public Trust security clearance.

Travel
Occasional travel may be required based on project needs.
