Job Title: Mechanical Engineer, PE

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer, PE to join our team at BKOutlooks. As a key member of our MEP engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing commercial MEP systems for a variety of building types.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Design and Development: Calculate, design, and generate AutoCAD and/or Revit files and construction documents to support MEP engineering needs for commercial office, K-12 schools, municipal buildings, healthcare facilities, multifamily, and other building types.
  • Project Management: Manage projects from start to finish, establishing schedules, assigning resources, monitoring performance, and ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Document Management: Maintain and organize all mechanical engineering-related documents and schedules, as well as general project documents.
  • Review and Quality Control: Review mechanical design submittals and conduct site visits as needed to address any issues, conflicts, or questions that may arise.
  • Communication: Provide project status updates to internal and external stakeholders as needed.
  • Business Development: Develop new business opportunities with existing and new clients through building relationships.
Job Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master's degree a plus).
  • Experience: 10+ years of engineering experience, including commercial and MEP engineering, with experience in HVAC or plumbing design and project management.
  • Licenses and Certifications: Active PE state license (WA state).
  • Skills: Strong skills in Revit or compatible software, AutoCAD experience, and familiarity with HVAC modeling programs such as TRACE700, CHVAC7.0, and/or AIRMaster.
