Job Summary

DISH Network L.L.C is seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer II to join our team. As a key member of our technology team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our web applications using React and other technologies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Write clean and highly performant code
  • Participate in an on-call rotational duties with other team members
  • Support integration with multiple DISH Systems via RESTful APIs
  • Understand & Work on the Stories/Tasks assigned, including coding and unit test coverage
  • Update stories and tasks with status/comments for accuracy
  • As part of Coding/Testing ensure Accessibility & Security is addressed along with following the MR guidelines before merge requests
  • Support any production issue as part of your rotation and update Incidents to keep it current/accurate
  • As part of the Test cycle, work on the defects related to your area or assigned to you.
  • Identity any additional stories/tasks needed and coordinate with Techlead/PO to get those created/updated
Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or other technical (STEM) fields. Master's degree preferred.
  • At least 2+ years of experience in web development using standard and specialized web technologies
  • Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to take on difficult engineering challenges
  • Experience building web applications using React
  • Experience in unit testing React components using Cypress and Jest.
  • Working knowledge of DevOps and automated pipelines
  • Experience with Java, React, Redux, CSS/Sass, typescript, Mockito, JUnit, Gradle, Git
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Understanding of distributed software systems, asynchronous messaging, and RESTful Web Services
  • Familiarity with the agile software development methodology

The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location. Candidates need to successfully complete a pre-employment screen, which may include a drug test and DMV check.
