Position Summary:

The Automotive Sales Consultant is responsible for facilitating the sale of new and pre-owned vehicles while ensuring a positive customer experience. This role requires a blend of sales acumen and customer service skills to meet dealership objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Achieve dealership sales targets.
  • Welcome customers and assess their vehicle preferences.
  • Articulate vehicle features and provide demonstrations both in the showroom and during test drives.
  • Recommend additional products and services to enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Calculate and communicate pricing details, including taxes and trade-in values.
  • Complete all necessary documentation related to vehicle sales.
  • Coordinate vehicle delivery and registration processes.
  • Investigate the availability of various models and optional features.
  • Engage in proactive business development activities.
  • Address and resolve customer inquiries and concerns.
  • Maintain customer satisfaction index (CSI) at or above company standards.
  • Keep a tidy and safe workspace.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development programs.
  • Accurately log work hours in the company timekeeping system.
  • Adhere to company policies and safety regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

To excel in this role, candidates should meet the following criteria:

Education:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Further education in Automotive or related fields is a plus.
Experience:
  • Up to 3 years of sales or customer service experience preferred.
Licenses:
  • Valid Driver's License is required.
Skills:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and ability to learn customer management software.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
  • Demonstrated ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively.
Work Environment:

This position involves both indoor and outdoor work, including customer interactions and vehicle demonstrations. Candidates should be prepared for a dynamic work environment that may require physical activity, including standing and walking for extended periods.
