Position Overview
As a pivotal member of the team, the Technical Supervisor is responsible for overseeing floor operations with an emphasis on exceptional customer service and effective staff leadership. This role directly manages the technical team to ensure seamless operational processes and high levels of client satisfaction. Additionally, the Technical Supervisor may engage in administrative responsibilities to support onsite operations and foster career growth.

Key Responsibilities

Equipment Management
Accountable for the precise and timely setup, operation, and dismantling of intermediate audiovisual equipment as specified in the technical qualifications. Quickly troubleshoot and resolve technical issues as they arise. Adhere to all company security and safety protocols, ensuring equipment is safeguarded against theft and damage.

Client Relations
Deliver outstanding service, striving to surpass the expectations of both internal and external clients. Maintain positive communication with all clients and meet with guests onsite to confirm their requirements are met and equipment setups are functioning correctly. Regularly monitor events and check in with clients throughout the day, nurturing the hotel/client relationship.

Training and Development
Support the training of technicians in all operational activities and uphold hotel and company service standards. Act as a mentor for new team members, fostering a positive work environment aligned with company values.

Operational Oversight
Coordinate daily floor activities to ensure timely setup, refresh, and removal of equipment. Conduct daily management of floor operations, directing technician workflows and assisting management with labor needs and scheduling. Ensure that equipment documentation is updated and accurately completed. Collaborate with the team to establish effective communication for event management and attend venue meetings as necessary.

Equipment Care
Perform routine maintenance on equipment to keep it in excellent working condition. Lead the team in the proper security, storage, transportation, and upkeep of equipment. Participate in inventory counts as requested.

Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree is preferred. 3-5 years of experience in customer service or hospitality is preferred. A minimum of 3-5 years of audio-visual experience is required. Internal candidates must hold Technical 1-Star Certification prior to application, while external candidates will need to obtain this certification within 60 days of starting. Knowledge of technical theory and advanced problem-solving skills are essential. Ability to lift 50 lbs is required. Experience in leading workflows and team members is necessary. A valid driver's license is required for positions that may involve operating company vehicles.
