Job Summary

Mountain Sleep is seeking a highly skilled Polysomnographic Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our sleep diagnostic team, you will be responsible for performing comprehensive Polysomnographic testing and analysis, as well as associated interventions under the general supervision of our clinical medical director and manager.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review patient history, physical information, medications, procedure requests, and study protocols to ensure accurate and comprehensive testing.
  • Complete and verify documentation, explaining the procedure and orienting patients to the sleep center.
  • Prepare and calibrate equipment to ensure proper functioning and make adjustments as necessary.
  • Apply electrodes and sensors according to accepted published standards.
  • Perform physiologic calibrations to ensure proper signals and make adjustments as necessary.
  • Conduct routine positive airway pressure (PAP) mask fittings.
  • Follow procedural protocols to ensure collection of appropriate data.
  • Document routine observations, including sleep stages and clinical events, changes in procedure, and other significant events.
  • Implement appropriate interventions, including actions necessary for patient safety and therapeutic intervention.
  • Assist with scoring sleep/wake stages and clinical events using center-specific protocols.
  • Generate accurate reports by tabulating sleep/wake and clinical event data.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED, with a 2-year degree required for RSPGT and registered.
  • Spanish speaking and writing abilities preferred.
  • Successful completion of a polysomnography program, of no less than two year duration, associated with a state licensed and/or a nationally accredited educational facility.
  • A minimum of 6 months of experience as a Polysomnographic Trainee with documented proficiency in all required competencies.
