About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Assembly Specialist to join our team at Thermo Fisher Scientific. As an Assembly Specialist, you will play a critical role in the production of laboratory equipment and medical devices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Select and assemble product components, assemblies, or sub-assemblies to meet specifications.
  • Read electrical wiring diagrams to ensure accurate assembly.
  • Inspect parts during sub-assembly and at key points to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Use a range of hand tools, including drills, rivet guns, and drill presses.
  • Enter product-related data into the SAP system and track component serial numbers, production rates, and physical location.
  • Order and retrieve supplies/materials using paper and SAP documents.
  • Troubleshoot work-related problems and take appropriate steps for assistance.
  • Test assembled units, clean, and pack final products.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in manufacturing, construction maintenance, or an industrial setting preferred.
  • Previous experience with multiple component manufacturing production assembly.
