Core Responsibilities:
Assessment:
Conducts thorough evaluations of physical, social, and psychological conditions (including cognitive, communicative, and developmental aspects as necessary).
Gathers and analyzes information from various members of the interdisciplinary team: patients, families, physicians, and support staff.
Planning:
Utilizes assessment data and critical thinking to collaboratively formulate a personalized care plan.
Actively engages patients, families, and the healthcare team in the planning process, including necessary education.
Collaboratively prepares patients for ongoing support needs once the current care episode concludes (i.e., education, referrals, and follow-up).
Implementation:
Leads the interdisciplinary care team through delegation, coordination, and collaboration as appropriate.
Provides or delegates care in accordance with the care plan, established guidelines, and professional licensure standards.
Demonstrates effective prioritization and organization of patient care delivery by managing time, resources, and supplies efficiently.
Evaluation:
Assesses patient responses to interventions by reviewing goal achievement, clinical outcomes, and patient satisfaction.
Adjusts the care plan as necessary and reassesses changes as appropriate.
Professional Conduct:
Advocates for the nursing profession and contributes to the development of colleagues.
Incorporates legal and ethical standards into practice: adheres to regulatory requirements, practices within the scope of licensure, ensures accurate and timely documentation, and understands the legal implications of care delivery.
Minimum Requirements:Current Utah RN License

- Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers.

- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- and
- RNs with less than 12 months of experience as an RN prior to joining must obtain their BSN within five years of their start date.
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution. Degree verification required.
Physical Demands:
Continuous need for the employee to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, and identify equipment and supplies.

- Frequent interactions with patients and care providers requiring effective verbal communication and the ability to hear and understand spoken information, especially in emergency situations.

- Manual dexterity required for manipulating complex and delicate equipment accurately. This includes frequent computer use and typing for documentation, accessing information, and medication preparation.

- Expected to lift and utilize a full range of movement to transfer patients, as well as bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment of varying weights.

- Need to walk and assist with transporting patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment, including pushing/pulling gurneys and portable equipment.

- May be required to stand in a stationary position for extended periods.
The hourly range for this position is competitive and based on experience.
