Clinical Specialist

About the Role:
The Clinical Specialist will be responsible for independently covering Intracept cases, providing training to the surgical team on the safe and effective use of the device. This role will involve working with the surgical team to provide clinical product assistance to the surgeon and providing clinical support for physician training and sales training programs.
Responsibilities:
- Clinical case coverage and support for sales and marketing initiatives
- Training the surgical team to assist in good patient outcomes and verbally supporting cases
- Acquiring and maintaining current knowledge of perioperative surgical technology practice and hospital and ASC policies and procedures
- Developing technical acumen to serve as an educational and clinical resource
- Demonstrating appropriate interactions with all healthcare providers
- Maintaining and preparing equipment/kits for surgery and quality control audits
- Troubleshooting equipment according to standard procedure
- Ensuring accuracy of received and returned inventory matches with shipping documents
- Reconciling inventory/usage as well as missing inventory
- Assisting in the delivery of procedural training with physicians and medical staff
- Ensuring compliance with all company policies, including the quality policy, on-label promotion, and interactions with healthcare professionals
Requirements:
- Experience in minimally invasive spine procedures utilizing fluoroscopy, CT, and MRI is essential
- High School Diploma or GED or associate degree with a minimum 4 years in a clinical specialist or related medical role, preferably in a medical device company; OR a bachelor's degree with a minimum of 2 years in a clinical specialist or related medical role, preferably in a medical device company
- Customer relationship and procedural skill development experience
- Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and insurance is required
- Travel - up to 75%, driving most days, some flying, with periodic overnights
- Must be able to walk, stand, sit, bend, and lift to complete the basic functions of the role
