Job Overview
The Director of Campaign Communications will provide strategic leadership in the planning, development, and implementation of campaign-related communication and branding materials for California State University San Marcos. This role will work in concert with University Communications to develop a comprehensive communication strategy, creating written collateral, overseeing internal and external communications, and expanding branding for the comprehensive fundraising campaign.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage a comprehensive communication strategy to support the university's fundraising goals
- Create and oversee the production of a full range of materials, including case for support materials, articles, web content, and external communications
- Coordinate with University Communications to amplify the presence of CSUSM's philanthropic and development initiatives with regional, national, and international media outlets
- Manage shared language and content for external communications, proposals, case statements, collateral, and scripts
Requirements
- Equity-minded applicants with a sensitivity to and understanding of diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds
- Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
- Experience in campaign communications, marketing, or a related field
