Job Summary:

The Head Men's Wrestling Coach and Faculty Member is responsible for leading the men's wrestling program at Illinois Wesleyan University. This is a full-time position that requires a strong background in coaching and teaching.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Program Development: Develop and implement a comprehensive plan for the men's wrestling program, including recruiting, retention, and academic support for student-athletes.
  • Coaching and Teaching: Coach the men's wrestling team and teach courses in the Physical Education, Sport & Wellness (PESW) Department.
  • Recruiting and Retention: Identify and recruit top talent for the men's wrestling program, and develop strategies to retain student-athletes and support their academic success.
  • Community Engagement: Foster relationships with alumni, parents, and friends of the program to build support and engagement.
  • Departmental Contributions: Contribute to the development and implementation of departmental initiatives and policies.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of five years' experience in coaching and teaching at the collegiate level.
  • Valid driver's license.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in a related field.
  • Experience with NCAA rules and regulations.
