Job Opportunity

We are seeking an exceptional candidate for a research-focused, tenure-track faculty position in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the Indiana University School of Medicine.

Position Overview

The successful candidate will have a strong background in research, with a terminal degree or doctorate degree required. The faculty rank for this position is open (Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor) and will be determined based on the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct high-impact research in the field of orthopaedics, with a focus on muscle/bone injuries, tendon/ligament injuries, infection, musculoskeletal oncology, and precision medicine/systems biology.
  • Develop and maintain a strong research program, with a focus on securing extramural funding.
  • Contribute to the academic mission of the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, including teaching and mentoring students and residents.
Requirements
  • Terminal degree or doctorate degree in a relevant field.
  • Strong research background and experience in the field of orthopaedics.
  • Ability to secure extramural funding for research projects.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in musculoskeletal oncology, precision medicine/systems biology, muscle/bone injuries, tendon/ligament injuries, or infection.
