Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Finance Associate - Payroll to join our team at Santa Fe Recovery Center. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for reviewing, processing, and reconciling payroll accounting transactions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Payroll processing using HR/Payroll system
  • Payroll maintenance and updates including Hires, Terms, and Changes
  • Coordination with the HR team to ensure all employees are paid accurately and timely
  • Accurate and timely processing of accounting transactions related to payroll
  • Preparing financial forms, documents, and reports
  • Reviewing, processing, reconciling, and researching accounting transactions related to payroll
  • Complying with GAAP, federal, state, and local legal regulations and requirements
  • Maintaining records and filing systems including electronic records management
  • Answering questions and handling correspondence with clients, vendors, auditors, bankers, and employees
  • Maintain and optimize operation of the payroll system
Requirements
  • Strong Computer Skills including advanced skills in Excel and automated accounting systems
  • Well organized with exceptional records management skills including confidentiality of information
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to effectively communicate and provide excellent customer service to vendors, clients, and employees to resolve financial-related issues using various communication platforms
  • Must attend all mandatory staff meetings and workshops
Education and Experience
  • High School/GED. Required. College degree preferred
  • 5 years' experience with payroll processing
  • Experience working with accounting software applications
  • Maintain a current, valid Driver's License. Must also have and maintain a clean driving record and auto insurance
  • Bi-Lingual/Bi-Cultural preferred
