Junction School enjoys robust support from local businesses, law enforcement, fire services, and other first responders.The school also benefits from an active parent community that contributes numerous volunteers and significant fundraising efforts each year to enrich educational programs.
In collaboration with local organizations, Junction School provides access to community facilities, including baseball and soccer fields, a gymnasium, a theater, and track and field amenities.
Junction School offers a comprehensive curriculum encompassing mathematics, reading, writing, science, and social studies. Additionally, students can engage in elective courses such as physical education, art, theater, music, and STEM.Students are encouraged to enhance their academic abilities alongside teamwork and leadership skills through participation in student council, robotics, book club, guitar/rock band, and various seasonal sports.
Dedicated educators and instructional aides deliver high-quality instruction with favorable adult-to-student ratios, while individual devices grant students access to numerous esteemed, research-driven online resources.
The mental and emotional well-being of students is supported by a school counselor and psychologist, with additional intervention services available through a resource specialist and specialized classes.
Position OverviewThe Educational Support Specialist will assist students and collaborate with teachers throughout the school day. This role entails a commitment of 7 hours daily and includes benefits.
Qualifications and Requirements
Candidates must successfully complete a physical examination and background check. A willingness to undertake a Paraprofessional assessment is essential. Applicants with college coursework are encouraged to submit their transcripts with their application materials.
