Job Title: Permit Coordinator

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Permit Coordinator to join our team at Sambatek, LLC. As a Permit Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our office by coordinating all permits and plan activity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Apply for permits with municipalities and compile, update, and maintain reports and files.
  • Meet with county officials and municipalities to facilitate the permit application process.
  • Obtain documents from engineers and architects to facilitate the permit application process.
  • Obtain all required approvals for permits and act as liaison between the company and each municipality.
  • Prepare and submit applications to various agencies/boards with jurisdiction over required permits and/or approvals.
  • Review plans issued out of the division for correct revision dates and review start packages for accuracy.
  • Prepare check requests and coordinate paperwork and applications with outside consultants as necessary.
  • Submit paperwork for permits and produce and maintain schedules for all communities.
  • Schedule and coordinate meetings, appointments, and inspections.
  • Enter permitting data and coordinate any inspections needed for closing.
  • Maintain all company files relating to site plan applications, approvals, licenses, and permits.

Requirements:

  • 1+ year of land development permitting experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2+ years of experience with computer skills and customer service.
  • Highly organized with strong task management skills and ability to prioritize and take initiative.
  • Detail-oriented team player comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with heavy volume workload.
  • Ability to read blueprints and plot plans.
  • Advanced PC skills with Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Excellent follow-up, communication (written and verbal), and time management skills.

Work Environment:

  • Work is primarily performed in an office environment.
  • Ability to occasionally move equipment/objects weighing up to 10 pounds.
