Job Summary

Pride Health is seeking a skilled Medical Laboratory Assistant to support our client's medical facility in Lenexa, KS. This is a 12-plus month assignment opportunity with a possibility of extension or conversion.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Receiving and sorting specimens in the laboratory.
  • Maintaining laboratory equipment and performing routine instrument maintenance.
  • Preparing reagents and media, and performing laboratory tasks such as centrifuging specimens and recording data.
  • Preparing specimens for testing, including building worklists and aliquoting specimens.
  • Performing quality control and quality assurance duties as assigned.
  • Resolving pending lists and finding missing samples.
  • Decontaminating work areas and performing weekly radioactive wipe tests.
  • Maintaining department records and following all safety regulations.
  • Using laboratory computer systems and operating PCs.
  • Disposing of biohazardous material and completing training and competency checklists.


Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum 6 months of experience required.

Work Schedule:

  • Full-time, Monday - Friday, 9 AM - 5:30 PM EST


Compensation:

  • $18/hr. to $20/hr.

*Pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.
