About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Food Service Specialist to join our team at Southcoast Health System. As a key member of our culinary operations team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest quality food service experience for our patients, visitors, and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and serve a variety of menu items, including short-order foods and made-to-order dishes, in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Monitor food quality, temperature, and flavor to ensure consistency and excellence in every dish.
  • Maintain accurate records of production and temperature, and report any issues to the Chef or Manager on duty.
  • Ensure the cleanliness and organization of refrigerators and freezers, and follow established sanitation guidelines.
  • Perform other reasonable duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in food service, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Knowledge of HACCP principles and experience with proper food safety and sanitation procedures.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced setting.
  • Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal influenza and COVID-19 virus, or exempt for medical or personal reasons.
