Certified Nursing Assistant

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team at Lawrence Street Healthcare in Tomball, TX.
Job Summary:The Certified Nursing Assistant will provide high-quality care to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of others.
Responsibilities:- Practice standard precautions with all resident care.
- Perform all tasks as assigned by the charge nurse and report incomplete duties promptly.
- Greet newly admitted residents with a pleasant disposition and ensure they are comfortable and hydrated.
- Assist residents with daily living activities, such as bathing, toileting, and dressing.
- Monitor and record resident vital signs, intake, and output.
- Notify the nurse of any abnormal vital sign readings or changes in intake or output.
- Encourage and assist residents to attend recreational activities.
- Assist residents with meal preparation and ensure proper attire and positioning.
- Document food and fluid consumption per facility policy.
- Report any resident change of condition to the nurse promptly.
- Report any resident needs to the charge nurse or social services.
- Observe resident skin surfaces and notify the charge nurse of any changes promptly.
- Perform post-mortem care.
- Understand and adhere to established facility policies.
- Use proper body mechanics when lifting.
- Adhere to safety policies pertaining to infection control and isolation, personal protective equipment (PPE), gait belts, mechanical lifts, and fire/emergency procedures.
- Provide excellent customer service and promote positive relationships with co-workers, residents, visitors, volunteers, vendors, and regulatory agencies.
- Respect and promote resident rights, ensuring confidentiality of all resident information and compliance with HIPAA regulations and policies.
- Complete documentation in the individual clinical record per policy.
- Certified Nursing Assistant in good standing with licensure boards.
- Excellent follow-through and communication skills.
- Ability to lift 60-70lbs frequently and stand/walk throughout the scheduled shift.
- Knowledge of computer systems, systems applications, and other office equipment.
- Ability to read, write, and follow oral and written directions at a level necessary to accomplish the job.
- Detail-oriented with strong organization and prioritization skills.
- Ability to meet all local health regulations and pass pre/post-employment physical exam if required.
- Ability to promote positive interpersonal relationships through the use of tactful, direct, and sensitive interaction.
- Ability to communicate verbally in a positive and professional manner.
- Ability to relate positively and favorably to residents, families, co-workers, and to work cooperatively with others.
- Ability to comply with attendance policy and established nursing staff schedules, be flexible, and make necessary accommodations for the needs of residents and families.
- Ability to attend in-service/education programs as required to learn new procedures and develop skills to meet regulatory compliance.
- Ability to agree not to disclose resident protected health information and report suspected or known violations of such to the facility.
