Role Summary:We are seeking a compassionate and skilled RN - NICU nurse to join our dedicated healthcare team. The role of a NICU nurse is crucial, as it involves caring for critically ill and premature infants.
Your primary responsibilities will include providing continuous care for vulnerable newborns and supporting their families. This encompasses meeting the basic needs of infants, such as feeding and diaper changes, while also collaborating with NICU physicians to coordinate medical treatments.
As a NICU nurse, you will be expected to deliver emotional support to both the infants and their families during challenging times. A successful candidate will possess a nurturing demeanor, the ability to thrive in high-pressure situations, and a comprehensive understanding of the specialized equipment used in the NICU.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide individualized, round-the-clock care to critically ill and premature newborns by applying evidence-based nursing practices.
- Work collaboratively with families and NICU healthcare professionals to ensure effective patient care and achieve optimal outcomes.
- Administer hands-on care, including monitoring and feeding of infants.
- Conduct medical procedures such as tests, medication administration, and intravenous line insertions.
- Utilize and adjust specialized NICU medical equipment as needed.
- Assist NICU physicians in executing medical treatments and procedures.
- Develop nursing care plans and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions.
- Support parents emotionally as they navigate the challenges of having a newborn in the NICU.
- Educate families on the proper care of their newborns at home.

- Minimum of 1 year of recent clinical experience as an RN.
- Active RN license in the state of practice.
- Current certifications as required by the facility.
- CPR certification.
- Strong understanding of health information systems and NICU-specific equipment.
