Role Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled RN specializing in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) to join our healthcare team. This role is vital for providing comprehensive care to critically ill and premature infants and supporting their families during challenging times.
As a NICU RN, you will be responsible for delivering continuous care to vulnerable newborns, ensuring their basic needs are met, and collaborating closely with NICU physicians to coordinate medical treatments. Your role will also involve providing emotional support to families navigating the complexities of caring for a newborn in critical condition.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized, direct care to critically ill and premature infants using established nursing principles.
- Collaborate with families and healthcare professionals to ensure effective patient care and achieve optimal outcomes.
- Administer hands-on care, including monitoring vital signs and feeding infants.
- Perform essential medical procedures, such as administering medications and inserting IV lines.
- Utilize specialized NICU equipment to support the treatment of high-risk newborns.
- Assist physicians in executing medical treatments and procedures.
- Develop nursing care plans and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions.
- Support parents emotionally during their infant's hospitalization.
- Educate families on the care of their newborns post-discharge.

Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of recent RN experience in a clinical environment.
- Active RN license in the state of practice.
- Current certifications as required by the facility.
- CPR certification.
- Strong understanding of health information systems and NICU equipment.
- Exceptional empathy and communication skills.
- Ability to provide emotional support to families.
- Capacity to work effectively in a high-pressure environment.
- Willingness to work 12-hour shifts, both day and night.
