Job Overview

Position: Medication Assistant

Employment Type: Full Time
Shift: To be discussed during the interview
Compensation: $18.57-$24.23 per hour, depending on experience

Benefits: Employee medical benefits available starting at $17.50 per pay period for full-time employees.

Attendance Incentive: A perfect attendance bonus of $100.00 for full-time employees and $75.00 for part-time employees is available each pay period.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide care for residents and assist in the revision of each resident's service plan.
  • Administer medications as prescribed by the attending physician, under the guidance of the Department of Human Services, adhering to established policies and procedures.
  • Respond promptly to resident calls and emergencies, providing first aid as necessary.
  • Assist residents with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, and eating.
  • Support caregivers by providing assistance to residents as needed.
  • Document and communicate any changes in resident conditions and complete all required reports in a timely manner.
  • Ensure confidentiality of all resident care in compliance with HIPAA regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • First Aid & CPR Certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in a healthcare environment is required.
  • Certified Medication Aide (CMA) certification is preferred.
  • Food Handlers Card must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
  • Experience and knowledge in caring for and interacting with elderly individuals are essential.
