Position Overview

Hourly Compensation: Starting at $26.3880/hr based on experience.

Work Schedule:

• Week 1: Thursday, Friday, Saturday from 8 AM to 8 PM
• Week 2: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday from 8 AM to 8 PM

Role Summary: The Medical Assistant I (MAI) collaborates within a multidisciplinary team, executing assigned clinical and administrative tasks under the supervision of healthcare providers, in alignment with the MA's training and competencies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review daily schedules and ensure availability of necessary supplies and equipment.
  • Prepare patient records prior to appointments.
  • Manage patient flow and room readiness in designated areas.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and families regarding any schedule changes.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of examination rooms.
  • Assist patients with mobility challenges.
  • Coordinate with interpreters as required.
  • Document patient information accurately in medical records.
  • Administer medications and immunizations as directed by healthcare providers.
  • Support healthcare providers during medical procedures.
  • Participate in maintaining a sterile environment and adhere to infection control protocols.
  • Assist front desk staff as needed to facilitate patient check-in.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and training.

Qualifications:

  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is preferred.
  • Completion of a Medical Assistant training program and certification.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or must be obtained shortly after hiring.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; prior experience in a medical assistant role is advantageous.
