Job Title: Mechanical Engineer Associate Staff

MIT Lincoln Laboratory is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer Associate Staff to join our team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for the development of complex mechanical and opto-mechanical systems.

Responsibilities:
  • Design, analyze, and integrate complex mechanical systems from conceptual design through fabrication and field performance evaluation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative mechanical design solutions for ground, airborne, and spaceborne applications.
  • Perform mechanical design and analysis of complex mechanical systems for DoD and aerospace applications.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation and presentations for internal and external audiences.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 5 years of experience.
  • Proven experience in mechanical design and development of complex opto-mechanical or precision engineered systems that must function in harsh environments.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in aerospace applications and opto-mechanical design for systems that must function in harsh environments.
  • Knowledge of 3D computer-aided design and engineering software.
