Civil Engineer Internship Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Civil Engineer Intern to join our team at Stantec. As a key member of our Transportation Engineering group, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, including transportation planning and engineering evaluations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and produce construction plans for transportation projects
  • Work on engineering evaluations to increase safety and reduce project costs
  • Perform design calculations and prepare project-related reports and documentation
  • Assist the Project Managers on general project tasks and design support for marketing efforts of project pursuits
  • Support our roadway construction engineering groups in the field and assist team in preparing CAD drawings and reports
Qualifications:
  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree engineering program
  • Good time management skills, be punctual, reliable, and capable of taking initiative
  • Detail oriented and organized
  • Ability to work independently and in a group
  • Excellent oral, written, and graphic communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Exposure to AutoCAD and Bluebeam
  • An interest in transportation planning and engineering
