The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Summer 2025 Water Resources Engineering Intern to join our team in Tampa, FL. As a Water Resources Engineering Intern, you will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced engineers and gain hands-on experience in stormwater management and drainage design projects.



Responsibilities:

  • Assist with stormwater management, drainage design, hydrologic, hydraulic, and water quality modeling and environmental permitting.
  • Prepare plans, designs, specifications, and cost estimates.
  • Gather and provide data for the preparation of engineering reports and studies.
  • Perform and review design calculations.


Qualifications:

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as an intermediate level of technical writing and communication skills.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3.0 GPA or above.
  • AutoCAD and/or Microstation experience.
  • Drainage software experience.
  • Experience or exposure to Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) plans preparation and design standards.
