Position Overview

The Certified Sterile Processing Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring that all surgical instruments and sterile products are properly prepared and maintained for use by the healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide sterile instruments and products to support various medical procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and organized sterile processing environment.
  • Adhere to safety and quality standards in all processing activities.

Qualifications:

  • A High School diploma or equivalent educational background is mandatory.
  • Completion of a relevant Aide training program or a Central Technician program, or possess at least 6 months of experience in Central Supply.
  • Proficient in reading, writing, basic arithmetic, and interpreting temperature gauges.
  • Exhibit professionalism and discretion in all interactions.
  • NICHSPDP Certification is essential for this role.

Essential Skills:

  • Prior experience in a hospital setting is required.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Project Details:

This position involves working at various healthcare facilities for a duration of two months at a time until all inspections are finalized. Reliability is critical; candidates must demonstrate consistent attendance and possess dependable transportation. Flexibility in shift scheduling is available, typically from 7 AM to 4 PM.
