Job Summary

As a Centralized Sterile Technician at the Detroit Medical Center, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest level of patient care by maintaining a clean and sterile environment for medical procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and maintain the quality and quantity of work flow to ensure efficient processing of sterile supplies.
  • Initiate or recommend personnel actions, including hires, fires, and disciplines, to ensure a high-performing team.
  • Develop and implement procedures and protocols to ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and DMC policies.
  • Collaborate with management to develop and monitor budgets for sterile supply chain operations.
  • Ensure hospital departments achieve objectives for diversity of suppliers.

Requirements:

  • Associates Degree or 2-3 years of progressively more responsible experience in Central Processing/Materials Management or related field.
  • Certification as a Central Sterile Processing Technician (CSPDT) or Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) preferred.
