Clinical Nursing Manager

The Clinical Nursing Manager for the Medical Surgical Unit is accountable for overseeing the daily operations of the Nursing Department. This role involves collaborating closely with Nursing leadership and various departments to ensure the delivery of exceptional patient care while achieving financial objectives and fostering leadership development.
Key Responsibilities- Operational Management: Supervise the functionality of all technical equipment and ensure the execution of procedures within the department.
- Collaboration: Work alongside the management team to strategize on program development, human resource management, budget planning, and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Staffing and Scheduling: Maintain optimal staffing levels and create schedules that guarantee safe and high-quality patient care.
- Communication: Facilitate effective communication with staff and physicians through regular meetings, updates, and rounds.
- Problem Solving: Address issues related to patient safety and service delivery proactively.
- Interdepartmental Coordination: Ensure seamless care coordination with other departments to enhance patient satisfaction.
- Human Resource Management: Oversee functions such as recruitment, orientation, training, performance evaluations, and policy development.
- Fiscal Accountability: Participate in the financial planning and operational budgeting processes.
- Quality Improvement: Partner with leadership to identify and implement initiatives aimed at enhancing service quality and performance.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to all relevant guidelines and standards.
Applicants should possess a Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited institution, hold a current RN license, and have BLS certification from the American Heart Association. A minimum of five years of clinical RN experience and three years in progressive leadership roles is required.
Physical RequirementsThis role necessitates the ability to see and read information, communicate effectively, and operate complex medical equipment. Candidates should be prepared for frequent computer use and the physical demands of patient care, including lifting and transporting patients.
