Position Overview:


The Registered Nurse (RN) on the 8th floor is a dedicated healthcare professional responsible for the comprehensive assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.

The RN employs the nursing process through the integration of technology, therapeutic interventions, evidence-based practices, and collaboration with other healthcare team members.

As a Registered Nurse, you will encounter diverse situations daily, which requires you to:
- Assess, identify, and address the psychological and physical needs of patients.
- Promote high-quality care with the best interests of patients and their families at heart.
- Communicate with empathy and clarity.
- Assist in formulating personalized treatment plans.
- Adhere to evaluation, treatment, and documentation standards.
- Supervise care provided by LPNs and/or CNAs.
- Engage in clinical team discussions.
- Comply with hospital, regulatory, and professional guidelines, policies, and procedures.Minimum Qualifications:

- Associate of Science in Nursing from an accredited institution; Bachelor of Science in Nursing within 4 years.
  • Current RN license in Colorado.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Preferred: One year of nursing experience in a similar environment.

Physical Demands:


Ongoing requirements include the ability to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, and identify equipment and supplies. Frequent interactions with patients, caregivers, and visitors necessitate effective verbal communication and auditory comprehension, especially in emergency situations. Manual dexterity is required to handle complex and delicate equipment accurately.

This role involves regular computer use for documenting patient care, accessing information, and preparing medications. Lifting and utilizing a full range of motion to transfer patients is expected, along with bending to retrieve, lift, and carry various supplies and equipment, including heavy items.

Additionally, you will assist with the mobility of patients and manage the distribution of supplies and equipment, which may involve pushing or pulling gurneys and portable equipment.

Often, you will navigate busy environments filled with equipment and may be required to maintain a stationary position for extended periods.
