Position Summary
Franciscan Digestive Care Associates, a part of The Center for Digestive Health at Virginia Mason Franciscan Health, is in search of a dedicated Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant. Our focus is on delivering high-quality, evidence-based, and patient-focused medical care. We foster a strong culture of teamwork and collaborative decision-making, and we have developed a unique and efficient work model. We are looking for a well-trained, compassionate PA/ARNP who is eager to provide exceptional patient care.
Work Schedule
The position involves 4-10 hour clinic shifts, with occasional responsibilities for inpatient care during weekdays.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive physical assessments, document medical histories, and formulate accurate diagnoses under the supervision of physicians and the Medical Director.
- Effectively design and implement patient care plans.
- Consult with physicians as necessary to evaluate patient conditions and treatment options.
- Ensure timely completion of medical records, patient billing, and other administrative tasks.
- Provide same-day care for patients experiencing acute illnesses or minor injuries.
- Contribute to the development and execution of clinic policies and procedures.
- Stay updated on medical procedures and treatments through professional development and maintaining affiliations.
- Participate in required meetings and serve on committees as assigned.
- Order necessary laboratory and diagnostic tests.
- Facilitate continuity of care between physician appointments.
- Deliver patient education, including instructions on medications and treatment plans.
- Perform related duties as assigned and complete them promptly.
- Utilize Universal Precautions and personal protective equipment when interacting with potentially infectious materials.
Qualifications
A minimum of one year of experience as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant is preferred, particularly in Gastroenterology, Internal Medicine, or a related adult medical specialty.
Compensation
The pay rate for this position is $72.12 per hour.
