About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team at Franciscan Digestive Care Associates, part of The Center for Digestive Health at Virginia Mason Franciscan Health. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to practice high-quality, evidence-based, and patient-centered medicine in a collaborative and supportive environment.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough physical examinations, record accurate medical histories, and formulate diagnoses under the supervision of physicians and Medical Directors.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive patient care treatment plans, ensuring timely and effective care.
  • Consult with physicians as needed to assess patient condition and treatment.
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of medical charts, patient billing, and administrative duties.
  • Provide same-day care for patients with acute illnesses or minor injuries.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of clinic policies and procedures.
  • Maintain current knowledge of medical procedures and treatment, including professional development activities and affiliations.
  • Attend required meetings and participate in committees as assigned.
  • Order appropriate laboratory and diagnostic procedures.
  • Provide continuity of care between physician visits and patient education.
  • Perform similar and incidental duties as assigned.

Qualifications

At least one year of experience as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Gastroenterology, Internal Medicine, or a related adult medical specialty is preferred.

Compensation

The hourly rate for this position is $72.12.
